problem with my mp4 player.
Hey, recently I've bought a mp4 4 gb player, after i read here some article, i knew it was fake, but before i wanted to format it and to cause the player show the real size of it, i wanted to upgrade it.
so, i read the article that explains how to upgrade your mp4 player and i have downloaded matching upgrade for my player. i have connected my player to the computer and run the mp3 upgrade tool. i have loaded the dump.bin file that i downloaded and pressed on "start". after 1:30 minutes, it was written on my computer that the player has been updated and that the program would exit then. then i turned off my player and 1 min later, i turn it on. and then, what i see? nothing! i just saw a the light of the mp4 player and nothing was written! so, i tried to connect the player to the computer and the computer recognized it. but, after the computer recognizing it, the computer rebooting itself. when i connect the mp4 player to the computer i see a little message next to windows' clock: new hardware has been recognized "NANO" "USB bla bla" and then the computer restarts itself. i have tried to change the usb port and connect the player to another usb port on the computer, but it's still the same, just rebooting and rebooting (at the moment that the device is being connected). I have to connect the mp4 player to the computer because i want to try to update it to it's original dump file that i have backuped. if someone can help me and explain me what to do, i will be appreciate it! thanks a lot, Roy. |
lordik,
If you have access to another PC try connecting the player and see if that crashes. If it does you may have to open the player and reset it by shorting the memory chip but as I am unsure if the problem is a firmware or hardware issue I do not know if this will work or not. If you decide to try a reset read the Dead Player Recovery Guide HERE so you understand the process before starting. You will possibly have to short the chip before connecting to your PC though. |
