Re: cant format my player!

gam3r , might be a hacked player, that explains for the error you got after transfering certain amount of data into your player.

When using the Disk Tools, go to the Partition & Encrypt tab, slide the slider all the way to the right (max), format it. Then repeat the same steps, but now slider the slider to the left (min), and format it again. The error should not appear this time round.

But if you received a 1.5" rather than 1.8", shouldn't you get an exchange with your seller?

Re: cant format my player!

gam3r,

My first answer was to answer your first original post of "it won't let me format the player". Formatting through MP3 Player Utilities may only work for certain chipsets/boards. So that might be why you got that error of "not supporting this type disk".

I suggested formatting through Windows Explorer instead as it will regard your player has an external drive (like a USB memory stick), so it should let you format it.

Ok, onto the other bit.
If you've formatted and it shows 1.9GB and you can only fill till 650MB~750MB, then it might be possible that it's been 'hacked' to show more storage than it actually has. However, there are a few things to check/test:

1. Check to make sure you don't have files or folders that have 'funny' old ball characters. Such as squares etc.....

2. What you can also try is 'recopying' the files and folders that are already on your player to see if it lets you copy those across. If they don't, then it leads to believe even more you have a hacked player.

3. Try the "HP Format Tool" instead to format your player. This can be downloaded from our site under "Downlaods" --> "Tools" section.

Try those and let me know of the result.
