[solved] lol.. Dont't know how to turn the player on
 

Hi all,

the player is new and unused. I load up the battery and then tried to turn the player on. But it does not work. It works while it is connectet to the pc or when it is connectet to the battery load. I tried pressing the play button short and long. Switch the Button on top on On and on Off. I pressed the menu long and short.
GRR but nothing does work. I read the manuels and tried it on their way but it does not work :(

Can anybody help me? Sorry for my bad english, i am german.
And a noob, too ;)

When you say "I load up the battery", what does that mean? Does that mean you actually had to install the battery yourself into the player? I wouldn't think so but I just want to check.

Just to confirm, your player will charge while connected to your computer right?

What I'm thinking is maybe your player needs to be charged for awhile before it has enough battery charge in it to be used. How long did you leave it charging for? You can charge it either through PC or through wall charger (though some wall chargers are known to have problems and won't charge anyway).

As a recommendation, always leave the [on/off] switch in the ON position. You can turn your player On and Off by pressing down on the [play/pause] button for about 3 seconds.

now i charged the battery for about 1hour
but still i cant start the player
whats wrong? but he does work when it is connected to the pc or to the "wall" (sorry for the bad english)

Matrix333, It sounds like you may have a faulty battery or a lose battery connection. I suggest you contact your seller and advise them of the problem and a repalcement. If you open the player to check the battery connection you will void your warrenty.

i charged the battery all over the night
but nothing does happen

i can't send it back
it would cost too much

what can i do?

Matrix333 , if it is too expensive to send it back, i advise that probably you get a replacement battery. You mentioned that you can load the battery? If it is similiar to a mobile phone battery, you can go to a mobile phone shop and see if they have a battery with similar size. Be sure to check the voltage output matches your current battery.

hm now i have opened the mp4 player
what should i look for?

loool i opened it and tried again
it works
i closed it and it works
i have nothing done ^^...in germany we call it a "wackelkontakt"
in english it must be simple "bad contact"

I wonder if it's the static around the device that's causing it not the turn on properly? By opening and closing the case, you might have 'released' the static and fixed it...?

That's a possiblity as I've read this on the s1mp3.org site awhile ago.
