Default Problems with 2gb black clone nano

Hi, I'm new in the forum and english it's not my language so please don't be afraid in my questions. I've bought a lot of mp4 nano clone for my friends, some worked well and other had a lot of problems, I'll make different posts one for each probem I've determinated.
The first is about a 2 gb player.
The firmware version is PMA300_006 (2005/11/04) - RVJ 3.5.35 (2005/12/16)
My problem comes out when I try to pay music located in a local folder. When I press the command button on local folder the player resets. The same happens when I try to acces to the radio section. If I put mp3 in the root I can listen to them
It' anybody that can help me
I've tried to download and reload fmy firmware whithout any change
I've tried also with a 3.5.37 firmware found on this site but after installing the screen became black so I vcame back to my original firmware
It's any suggestion or link to a firmware that I can try ?
Thank to all
Here is my player

brignuca, Try using the MP3 Player Disk Tool and do a low-level format of your player.

In the cd there isn't any firmware version. What do you mean with "low-level format". I can format FAT or FAT32 but in the past with som fake nano clone after formatting the memory passed from 4gb (not real I know) to 246kb.
Please explain better to me all the operations
i.e.
1) format player in fat mode
2) reload the firmwar
etc.

THANKS

brignuca, If you use the MP3 Player Disk Tool format your player you will see an option for a low-level format. This will check your player memory for bad sectors as well as do a full fat format.

If your player has a hacked memory chip it will be smaller in size after the format.

Thank tadad1 for bbeing so patient but I can't apply your suggest. I have tryied with 3.68 mp3 disk utilities. The result is that I can see a disk with a capacity of 1951.74Mb but when I try the format (every option) the resule is "not supporting this disk type. Now I've tried a format from the system in fat32 and the proble looks solved, I can't understand why but it's solved. Now I have some other players to look at. Probably I'm going to ask your help another time in the next days
bye
