dodgy mp4 from hong kong
 

hi i hope someone can help. i stupidly bought a 4G MP4 on Ebay from a seller n Hong Kong.
the crazy manual was bad enough to understand but i couldnt get the charger to wait for it charge.
the seller has been no help, i wonder if i show you a picture can you advise me where to buy a replacement?

I'm sorry but I do not fully understand what you mean when you say "i couldnt get the charger to wait for it charge" . There are 2 ways to charge your player, with the adapter from a wall socket or from a USB port on your PC. Everytime it is connected with your PC it will charge. The wall adaptors are pretty dodgy so you are better off using your PC.

If you mean the player is not holding a charge then there could be a problem with your USB cable or the player?

hi, there was loose wiring within the female connector connecting the battery to the mp4 player, once it was opened i didnt note the colours and the pins they went to.
it needed soldered back on, unfortunately there is 60 odd combinations..

without this i cannot charge the mp4..
alas the female head is unlike any i have seen in the UK

Just plug it in to ur pc via usb and it will charge.

an engineer i knew soldered it. its obviously not been done accurately,just tried the USB port on my PC, without the lead working from the MP4 there is no power getting through the lead and ultimately the players remains dead
i think i could have a shot of someone else charger waiting to see if it fits my player
