My Interface is no longer the same.
 

i have tried to install the mypod theme. and the MP3 player upgrade tool says that the uprade was successfull but now when my mp3 player turns on the menus interface is very poor in design and the language is chinese. i am thinkin that this is the default settings.

Please help me

edit: I have also noted that when i plug the player into my computer two removable disks appear. The one that i store the data on and another which is only 1Mb. it is not formatted and i cannot format it.

SubZer0 , the MyPod theme may not be suitable for your player. As different players, although are nano-clones with same screen size, the existing firmware in it may have a different layout with each other. Thus explaining for the messy design you have now.

To change to english, press left or right until you get to the Sys Tools (usually the icon is some gears or tools)
Next, press Menu to enter it
Press Right arrow twice
Press Menu to select again
Press Right arrow once
Press Menu to select English.

For the 2 disks that appear, go to Sys Tools >> Online Mode >> Normal Only
this should remove the additional drive.
Alternatively, use the MP3 Utilities Disk Tool, go to Partition & Encrypt tab, slide the slider to max (right) and format it. Then repeat and slide the slider to min (left) and format again. This would remove the additional drive.

thank you for your quick reply. i can now at least see the correct text. and the two removable disks are arranged. however, i don't think that the messy design is not because the mypod theme as i changed the firmware myself and applied the picutures myself and none of the pictures that i see is like the pictures that i have applied.

another thing i have noted is that after i appled the new firmware it is resulting as .35 but before i had .37. I have downloaded the .37 firmware but even though the upgrade tool says that the patch has been applied, it still reads .35.

Any suggestions?

SubZer0 , the firmware version number doesn't make a difference in the player's functions. You'll still get to use the same functions as before.

Did you load in someone else's themed firmware or did you use your backup dump firmware to change the theme? It is adviseable to use your own backup dump firmware to edit the theme and images as using someone else's firmware would very likely kill your player.

unfortunately i did not make a backup but i managed to find someone with the same "number" as me: KTT688_V4
