mp3/4 nano clone
In my computer, shows up 2 removeable drives, one has 3.99 gb left, the other has omb of all together space, nothing at all. Also when trying to move music over it scrambles it all up, and most of it doesnt show up when using the mp3/4, and some of it corrupts which cant be deleted.
Also in some folders is a file that cant be deleted, comes up with "cannot read from the source file or disk." The file is called "USBS[]3-a." Some symbols i could not show correct as they are not avaliable on the keyboard (the two brackets are meant to be a square and two dots should be above the a). In the chinese handbook, it says do not format with FAT32, use only FAT, so i tried to format, the properties say FAT, but there is no FAT, only FAT32 on the 3.99gb drive when in the format screen. On the 0mb drive it shows you can format with FAT, but will not format. Why is there two drives?? Can anyone please help? thanks |
guitarking, You have a hacked player. This is when the chip is manipulated to read as greater than it's true size. You need to remove the hack to fix your problems. To do this open the MP3 Disk Tool and got to the partition encrypt tab and move the slider all the way right and press start then move it back all the way left and start again. This will rebuild your partition and delete the hack. Your player will now display it's true size. You should now be able to format the player in Fat.
Also on your settings menu make sure you have the One-Line Mode set to Normal Only. |

Re: mp3/4 nano clone
guitarking , looks like you have a hacked 128MB memory chip, less 20MB for the firmware files. By hacking a memory chip, they can even make a 128MB chip look like a 100GB memory chip.
What i advise would be to get a full refund from your seller. As i'm very sure you paid top dollar for a 4GB player, but in actual fact it is a 128MB player. You may like to seek a full refund + shipping from your seller if you bought it via eBay. There is a thread reply by tadad1 on this procedure Here. |

Re: mp3/4 nano clone
If I buy a chip is it easy to replace myself.
Is just take the old one out and replace with the new, or is it more complicated! Many thanks for your help |
