Just got my mp4 player form uxcell its all screwed up...

At first it was working ok for like 5 min then i seen it had a bunch of bs files on it like someone allready owned it....

Deleted teh files tried to mp3's on it they played for a second now the screen is just flashing an hour glass on and off....?

This is what i get for being a cheap ass.

Imma let it charge via wall outlet for a few hours and try to mess with it then... Maybe it just aint charged enough.

bL33d, By all reports Uxcell are a pretty good company so if your player is faulty get on to them asap for a replacement.

hi guys,
sorry to dissapoint you tadad, but i had the same problem. Their customer service sucks. i received faulty mp3 player and returned it. i was able to exchange it for mp4 player, but mp4 came with virus, and not all functions working as advertised. this proccess from day returned to day received took 2.5 months to resolve and numerous emails from me chasing goods.

regards

ps they offered me a replacement, but i dare not go through this again

azulblueaoi,

Please create a new thread for your problem as it's not related to the original thread you just posted in.

Update: Mine is fine just impatiant and didnt let it charge all the way. Its seems to be a-ok now.

Though i cant help but to notice that watching video runs the battery down in like an hour..... :(

tadad1 2nd Nov 2006 2:19 pm

bL33d, It should only take 3-4 hours to fully charge your battery and you should get around 4-6 hours continuous music play and about half that for video play. Us the usb to charge rather than a wall adapter if you have one.

HI,

I have a player from Uxcell, It originally had issues with the battery!! I emailed them about it , and the response was very helpful. They did say that if all else fails to send it back. I figured i would wait a little longer. I had tried all of the suggestions anyway before this, but to no avail.

 After a few days of on again off again charging, I have discovered for some reason now!!! a player that actually charges its battery properly and it seems to last longer than about 30 mins. I have now discovered a few things!! I assume the battery is flat when it arrives, I charged mine for at least 6 hours first up, after that I had issues with no charge holding etc etc, as the days went on (about 5 days) I have discovered the battery has improved its integrity :P and so far so good!! I actually used my pod at the gym last night and lasted the whole hour and a half :P
My theory is that when the player arrives let it charge for as long as possible over the suggested 8 - 12 hours (suggested by some) at least as you continue to charge over a few days I think it only gets the battery in a better condition, this is what has happened to me, its strange, but I a'int complainin  Also I found that charging via wall or USB has not mattered, but having the ON / OFF button to the ON position seems to make the battery charge icon move up when charging etc, in the OFF position the whole battery charge icon just stays static??? does this mean it is not charging??

Maybe this will help others, as there are a lot of similar issues on this site  I am still considering up specing the battery to a nono replacement battery of 330 - 400 mAh 3.7v capacity as mine from factory is a 180 mAh 3.7v
Love to hear other opinions about this.

cheers

Joffa

i got my new mp4 player and the same happened to my player too though it was not from UXCell.

i dont what this problem is but they tend to restart and then show the hour glass. when the player is on the menu, again they will restart.

thankfully, it stopped now. dont know whether it will occur again.

any idea why this happens? static or something?

tadad1 3rd Jan 2007 11:45 pm

Joffa,
180mAh rating is quite low. A battery upgrade would be a worthwhile investment provided you can find one that fits the limited available space.

I have upgraded the batteries in 2 of my players (Not Nano Clones) one had a lot of battery space and I was able to use a 850mAh iPod replacement battery and now get around 18 hours on a single charge.

http://www.mympxplayer.org/18-hours-...ge-vt2412.html

The other I used a 650mAh iPod Mini replacement battery and get around 15 hours playtime.

Both players have worked perfectly since the upgrades.
