Default RE: Help for firmware

Re my MP4 problem, Lattesurf (thanks!) advised to reformat my player. Problem is I did not back up my firmware (moron that I am). I've attached pictures of my player - 1.8" screen game player look-alike. So anyone with the same model, please help with firmware, or point me in the right direction.

Thanks...easylim

easylim , what happened to your player? A normal memory format would not remove your firmware, unless you used the Upgrade Tool?

It`s like an MP3 Player which plays Music CDs only.

Hi Lattesurf. Thanks for your quick response. To be honest, I don't know. My niece is now helping me to rectify it as I'm totally illiterate. We thought we should get the firmware in hand in case we wipe out stuff. As I write, my vendor has emailed a file that hopefully has the firmware. BTW, what is S1fwx?

easylim, I have a sneaking suspicion that your player is running the 9.0XX series firmware and if so s1fwx is not going to help as it can not repair the firmware to make it viable. If the supplier is sending you a copy of the firmware it will most likely be a full version which should recover your player.

If the firmware is you are being sent is no good let me know as I have a Full 9.0.43 for 1.8 LCD that may work for you.
