Default Browsing a 1.8" Nano Clone

I have read through these forums and the instructions that came with my player but I cannot get it to change folders! It plays by default in the first folder that was loaded onto it. But when I go to change folders using:
<Pause><Menu>Local Folder<menu>Select Folder<Menu>
it just leaves me looking at "\" where pressing menu returns to the root, and does not select anything. holding play simply turns it off, pressing play does nothing, as does pressing volume or Next or previous. Not pressing anything returns to the play screen paused on the track it was previously paused on (in the first folder loaded to the player). Any ideas??

My player is a 1.8" 2GB nano clone.
Black, with Music, Movie, Sound record, Voice Record, FM, Photo, Ebook
Firmware:
ACTS16D_13
2005/06/01
WS-3.2.13
2005/11/10

Thanks guys!

Oh, and by the way I opened the case up last night and there is no white writing printed on either side of the circuitboard to identify the hardware. Only on top of a samsung memory chip and another chip. I wrote down these numbers but left them at home today. Thanks again guys!

Ok, strange goings on here... I went back to the Local folder menu and used the play/pause button on one of the subfolders and now it works..... I can play the other folders. Didnt seem to work before but if anyone else is having this problem, remember, dont press "Menu" like the instructions say! :s

Travesso

That is strange.

For my players, the "Menu" button is like the "select" button while the "Play/Pause" button is like the "escape" button.

So you are saving your player is different? If so, would be interested to see what your player looks like. Perhaps you can upload it to our site in the "Gallery" section of this site?
