more info on this player?
I just recieved one of these
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NEW-1GB-IDALL-...QQcmdZViewItem Its a great little gizmo easy to use (so far) but didn't come with instructions(seller is going to email them to me), i just wanted to know more about it, the IDALL site doesn't list it, web searches are coming up nothing. does anyone here have one? where can i get updated firmware(if and when there is any)? can i get more games for it(it comes with 4 preloaded ones) what size do pictures need to be to fit on it(or does it resize any size)? what are the best video settings for it? any help greatly appriciated! cheers! |
backudog,
DO NOT TRY TO UPDATE THE FIRMWARE!!! . Sorry did not mean to yell :). Trying to update the firmware is the second fastest way to kill your player. The fastest is a hammer. There are hundreds upon hundreds of firmware each one specific to the player it was designed for. Have a browse in the Dead Players forum. You can not add more games but you have done well with 4 most have none, one or two. From memory I think 1024x786 is max size image that the player can resize but large files put a strain on their tiny CPU's so 640x480 will load faster an take up less space. Try this for video settings, http://www.mympxplayer.org/full-scre...or--vt449.html But start with high instead of medium and then drop it back to medium if you player has Format Error problems. |
Thanx for the reply!
I tried the video converting "trick" you mentioned but my converter doesn't seem to create the file mentioned, i downloaded the correct version, converted for a few secs (about 30),stopped, closed and checked the folder in windows, but no file had been created?! any ideas? i've got loads of futurama simpsons and family guy vids i wanna convert and whack on it so not being able to convert them is midly annoying. cheers! |
backudog, I have uploaded the MP3 Player Utilities 3.57 folder here
http://www.sendmefile.com/00478807 Just unzip it and use. The transformsetup.ini is already set so you just need to load your file set the output folder and convert. Do not enter settings or else the settings will reset to default. If you have trouble with the high frame rate setting as some players do then edit the transformsetup.ini in the AMV Converter folder and change it to medium. |
Re: more info on this player?
It sounds like a codec problem, try installing the k_Lite Mega Codec Pack
http://www.free-codecs.com/download_...hp?d=2369&s=42 This solution, worked for me. |
thanx again for the replies!
Tadad 1, I downloaded the converting file you posted, but when i went to unzip/rar it it came up unexpected end of file?! (i have no idea what that means) , it seemed to have unzipped it though so i put all the files (it didn't seem to have the transformsetup.ini file) into the 3.57 folder in windows and ran the program. converted a few files but when i play them on my idall player they come out as a tiny picture in the middle of the screen! What am i doing wrong NOW?! azulblueaoi, downloaded the file you suggested to just to be sure! no probs there so far! |
backudog, Copy the red text into notepad and save. then rename the file transformsetup.ini and place it in the 3.57 AMV converter folder.
[Setup] Overwrite=TRUE Insertwave=FALSE Insertpic=TRUE Transplay=TRUE Trycode=FALSE VFBS=high VWH=160*120 Now try a conversion. |
YES!! WE HAVE A WINNER!! it worked, thanx for all the help! WOOHOO!!
|
