New video files wont work
 

Hi,

I bought and mp3/mp4-player yesterday in Shanghai, everything seemed fine and all functions work except that player wont play the new video files put on it. Mp3 and everything else works fine but not video. It is also supposed to play .avi and it does play two .avi videos which were already put on it. I copied them from the player to my computer and they are actually .avi files. When I put on another .avi file than these two the player recognize the standard and puts them in the videofolder but when i try to play them it says:"format file error", and then it starts the next videofile. Ive also tried .amv and .mtv but this player doesnt even regognize them as video and u cant play even try to play them neither through movies or navigation.

I dont really know what player it is ive bought, the package says boolee but im not sure. Im in shanghai for another week so i guess i can go back and get another or my money back. Any suggestions what to do?

These small players will only support a limited frame rate, resolution and birate when it comes to playing .avi files and the audio may need to be in a specific format.
What converter are you using to generate your avi files for the player?

I solved it earlier today by help from WilsonPL's earlier postings which i searched for. I use aviconverter and it works great. Thanks anyway for the help and a great website.
