mp4 player capacity problem

HELLO!!!

I'm having some problems with my mp4, and is that when I'm going to put music and videos on it, the limit is for about 450mbs, and it has 1Gb, because in MY PC - PROPERTIES it shows 998mbs.

I don't know what is the problem, if anyone out there can help me with this then write to me even to say that there's no solution.... THANKX!!!

pablo, a lot of these players have memory chips that are hacked so that the y read as being much larger than their true size. In your case I your 1GB chip could really be only 512MB.

The only way to fix this is to remove the hack that is causing the chip to read larger.
You can do this with MP3 layer Disk Tool which is part of MP3 Player Utiities. Open the Disk tool and go to the Partition Encrypt tab and move the slider all the way right and then back to the left and press start. This will rebuild the partition to its true size. It is a good idea to format the player in Fat after doing this.

pablo_emiliob , it's likely your player has a hacked memory. You need to format your player to remove the hack.
Before formatting, backup all your stuff onto an external storage source.
Next, using the MP3 Utilities Disk Tool, go to Partition & Encrypt tab, slide the slider to MAXIMUM (right) and format it.
Now, repeat the above process but now set the slider to MINIMUM (left) and format it again.
Your player should now display the correct memory size. But be prepared to end up with a lesser amount of memory size.
