Instead of going black this would be for in my truck when its plugged in to cig lighter and not having to worry about battery going dead?

bL33d, If you want the screen to stay on all the time go to settings on your player and under LCD set select black\darkle and set the slider to 0. You could do the same in Power-off setting as well.
