You can check the actual memory capacity either through the Disk Tool (it'll be displayed there), or through Windows My Computer.
Ok cool. Thanks again mate, much appreciated.

Just had a look through the disk tool option an it states capacity = 1946.08Mb. Not too bad, only lost half my memory. Could have been much worse!

lashed , at least you didn't lose too much of capacity.
You might want to make a backup of your existing firmware, you never know when you might need it in future.
There is a guide on extracting the firmware Here.

After that, you might want to consider uploading your firmware to the forum. It'll help alot of people out there trying to recover their players back.

Why are clones called MP4 Players, when they don`t play .MP4 at all?
It`s like an MP3 Player which plays Music CDs only.

T39 doesn''t sound as good as my T29

Yeah I will do, from reading through the different threads, a back up seems a very wise idea and I'll upload it when I'm done.
Cheers.

Just uploaded some music files and a video sample from this site and all work fine. The video was a little dark so I've increased the brightness and it's a bit better.
Thanks for all your help LatteSurf.
