i slept on my mp4, now the screen is half pitch black, is it possible to repair it?

wheedle , seems like your lcd module cracked. i'm not sure where to get replacement screens. You can try your local electronics shops (but likely they won't have it). Alternatively, try eBay, most probably there might be people selling replacement screens.
