Unknown Flash error - firmware is 9.0.43
 

I have extracted the firmware , and change some of the images but when I try to imprt the firmware I get 'unknown Flash Error'

I am using Disk tools 3.57
My firmware is 9.0.43

I cant even import the original unchanged Firmware file, even though it is not corrupt.

Is there a write protect on the firmware, or is there a different firmware flasher I can try ?

Juz , from what i know, the version 9.0.xx firmwares does not work well with the extractor and flasher. Currently it only supports the versions 3.x firmwares.
There is really nothing much you can do to your player at this moment. We are still waiting for someone to do up a proper extractor & flasher for the 9.0.xx series.
