Disk tool partion slider (SOLVED)
I know that to get your mp4 to read the correct size that you need to use "Disk Tools". After opening the program you get a format folder which reads the drive your player is on and a size. Before you run the program is this the actual size or the false size?
When you switch to the partition folder some are being told to move the slider full left then full right then hit "start". Others are told to move it far left then hit "Start". Then full right and hit Start. Whats the difference between the methods? Is there an improper way to do this step? Can you mess up this step and create a smaller size than you actually have or will it always give you the correct memory size of your player? When formatting does the player work better in FAT or FAT32? Thanx in advance for your time to answer these newbie questions. Dave |
avionik99, There is very little difference to the two methods one performs the operation twice first creating an encrypted partition then a standard partition, the other only once.
Provided you have moved the slider all the way right and then all the way left you will end up with the correct chip size. Fat takes up slightly less space than Fat32 but they both appear to work. |
