Default Firmware Extraction

I'm having problems extracting the firmware from my new 4GB MP4 player (well 2GB really!). I'm using the latest version of s1fwx.exe (ver3.0) but whenever I run the extract.bat file I get the following errors :

connect to device 'D:\'...
init device...
set device to f-mode...
get info from device...
ic version = 0x0000
storage info = 0x0602, 0x0001, 0x0000, 0x0000
device = 'S1 Mp3 Player'
manufacturer = 'Wilson Co. Ltd.'
bootflash type = 'F285'
brom version = 3.0.80
firmware version = 9.0.48
read boot record...
detect firmware size...
error: The system cannot read from the specified device.

warning: unknown firmware file
read flash...
error: The system cannot read from the specified device.

write to file 'dump.bin'...

I have successfully extracted/altered/re-uploaded the firmware from a different MP4 player.

Do i need to be using a different extractor? - I really want to get rid of the awful startup/shutdown splash screen if I can!

Parsec, s1fwx will need an upgrade before it will successfully extract 9.0.xx series firmware. At the moment there is no way to make a viable backup of this firmware.
