Windows says player is not formatted

Hi I have the following player

MP3 Player
LSD_9101_11
2006-10-27
9.0.48
2005-01-09

The problem is that when I go to the drive (removable drive F) it says that it is not formatted. This is odd as it was working fine just yesterday I dont know what has happend?

Wolf-uk, You may have disconnected the player while it was still working, which can sometimes cause corruption. What size storage does your player have?

Hi

I think that might have been it! But I have found out that it was not a 4GB player! only a 962MB! I looked at this thread.

Guess its back to ebay and paypal! just a question also when I get another nano player from the site you recommend in your post where can I get diffrent head phones from? because they are smaller than standard "jack ones"

Thanks

Richard

Wolf-Uk, If your new player has a 2.5mm jack the best thing to do is buy a 2.5-3.5 converter like this

If you are going to purchase your new player from Uxcell you might as well go into thr free draw they are currently running for MyMPxPlayer.org members. I think they also stock the converters.

Thanks

So does it look like a hacked player to you? How can they get away with this? I mean people would try to put 4GB of stuff onto the player and they will find out?!

Also what recommendations do you have for 2.5mm jack head phones if I was not to get the converter

Wolf-uk,
If you bought your chiPod as 4Gb then you can pretty much gaurantee it is hacked. I would say your s has a 1Gb chip.
Suprisingly most people take months to fill up their players and when something starts going wrong usually the warrenty is expired and they think it is just a player malfunction. That is why most of these shonky traders have good feedback.

Regarding headphones depends on how much you want to spend. Most of the name brands like Sony, Phillips etc will do a pretty good moderatly priced set of earphones. My personal favourites are here:
