Unknown Firmware?
 

Hi
I own a nanoclone player, and I thought about polishing it a little.
I started following the instruction on the forum, but when I tried to back up the firmware (also for.. future safekeeping), I received the following message:

When proceeding with the repair, obviously I received another error message:

When verifying the firmware version through the "System" tab of the player, this is the info it gives:

Fw: B806G2V1.7H
Date: 2006/10/19
Core: 9.0.48
Date: 2006/09/12

Any way I can successfully back up the firmware, so I could possibly enhance the firmware (and graphics)?

I realized a little late that maybe this should be posted in Support/How to. Maybe a moderator can move it where due...

Ramautetm, The 9.0.XX series firmware is quite new and is used on players with the newer ATJ2097 and CTW500 chipsets. At the moment there are no tools to extract a working copy of this firmware.
