Default Finally a tool to backup 9.0.43 Firmware

For those wanting to extract the firmware from their 9.0.43 (possibly 9.0.xx series) players this version of ATJUpload 4.0 Beta seems to do the trick.

I have tested it on 2 different players using 9.0.43 firmware and both dump files have worked without problem. The extracted dump can be used without repairing.

EDIT: "Ramautet" has reported getting a "access error message" when trying to extracting 9.0.48 firmware, and his player reset so use with caution.

DOWNLOAD "This is a Beta version program and as such may still contain bugs so use at your own risk."

Sounds like my clone. Which has the 9.0.48 firmware. But as you can read in the main topic, when I tried to extract the firmware, it gave me an error and hard reset the player (no loss of data, though)

I tried again, to see if I could help you, but really there's no way I can extract my firmware with it.

Maybe someone else with the same firmware could have more luck...

Hi,

I finally tested your soft (even if it is BETA  ) on my Glacier mp4 (9.0.43 )

=> Succed ! My player stoped and started again alone at the end of the process. No data loss, This is not really a "hard reset" as write Ramautet because all setings are saved, even time set is still good...

Cool ! :P

tadad1, do you know now witch buttons to press to upload a saved firmware ?
is there for now a soft to modify startup/and screens or anything else with the 9.0.43 ?
(because currently s1res doesn't work with this firmware)
Thanks.

Lejigabou.

Lejigabou, s1res modifies the 1.8 version of the 9.0.43 firmware but seems to have a problem with the 2.0 inch version. I think this may be a limitation on the image sizes that s1res can handle as the smaller images can be changed but it seems to have trouble reading images larger than 160x128.

Ok, s1res works with full 9.0.43 firmwares but only to change Battery icons or such small pictures.

I search something to modify startup/and screens.
Does a certain "Waterly" (or some mane like this) works to do it with 9.0.43 ?

If it do not. Is there any risk to change my firmware for another FULL firmware ?
(I can't stand anymore the UK queen soldier on my startup screen. On the power down screen I have a magician and it is more cool)
