Default mp3/mp4 digital player weird files inside folders.HELP!!

hi,i just bought a new mp3/mp4 digital player,it looks like the nano,it has 8 gb,i bought it from http://www.computercityinc.net/productmain.asp?ID=8.and its from wilson ltd. co. the website has the wrong picture of it.well anyways.whenever i create a new folder inside the drive sometimes its clear and theres nothing inside it,but other times it gets this weird files inside it some are named ó@ó@ó@ó@.ó@ó
√`√` d d.√`√
and weird names like that.and when you see how many memory the folder is taking it says its taking like 15 gb and in some folders i've seen it say up to 40gb how's that possible?well the other bad thing is that i cant delete the files or the folder so i have to format the mp3 player again so it will delete everything.also, the folders dont appear when i go to local folders in my mp3.plz help!!also when i copy a whole folder with music on it sometimes the music files dont even appear, instead the weird fies appear, and the folder doesnt appear on my mp3/local folder.i dont know whats wrong with it.
please help me,is anyone else having this problem?how can i solve it? thx!

lledgarll, You have a player with a hacked memory chip. Anything over 2GB is hacked as that is the largest nand flash memory these players can support.
If you want to remove the hack use the MP3 Disk Tool that is part of MP3 Player Utilities. You will find several versions in the download section.

Connect your player, open the disk tool and go to the Partition Encrypt tab. Move the slider all the way right and then back all the way left. Press start and your player partiton will be rebuilt, the hack will be removed and your player will now show it's true size. You should not have any problems now.

Hope you at least end up with a 2GB chip, sadly some turn out to be 128MB.

lledgarll , so far we have not seen anyone having problems or doubts with the Disk Tool program. To further re-confirm, you can open up the player and check the memory chip's serial number (it'll be the largest chip), against the manufacturer's website.

Why are clones called MP4 Players, when they don`t play .MP4 at all?
It`s like an MP3 Player which plays Music CDs only.
