Default My history on a fake player

Hello,

On October 6th I bought an 4GB MP3/MP4 player (120038772665) from “hargaretchimee” on eBay. When I tried to fill it with mp3, it crashed oddly. I investigated this unbranded mp4 player and I was immediately redirected to this site.

When I fixed/removed the hack, it showed me the correct size, and it turned to be a 1.90GB player. That's why I had so many problems when copying files to it above 2GB... simply, the memory isn’t there, so there was nothing to write to.

I was not truly convinced until I opened the player to see what was inside. I found the following reference on the memory chip: Samsung 637 K9WAG08U1A. I took a look at Samsung website, and I saw it is in fact a 2GB chip.

I opened a dispute on paypal following instructions on this forum. The seller told me he had problems with the manufacturer, and he recognized some 4GB was 2GB instead.

He told me to send the item back and he will reimburse all my money. I told him that I will accept to get my money AND the shipping cost to HongKong. All in all, it was seller’s fault, not mine. From this point, the seller didn’t reply my messages on the paypal dispute centre, so when it remained two days to end the dispute, I raised it to reclamation.

Paypal investigated the problem, and past Sunday, I received a message by Paypal telling me that they accept the reclamation, and I will be reimbursed 25 GP of the total (I paid 35,69 GP).

Today I’ve received my money back. I have a mp4 player that cost me 10 GP in total, but it’s seriously damaged. After I opened it, I have touched something and buttons work badly. But sometimes it works… At least it was cheap, and I have a 2GB USB drive all in all …
