I cant charge my MP4 player

hello everybody
i bought Glacier - 1GB MP4 Player with a 2" TFT LCD from Hong Kong. When i connected the cable to charge it first it says open power. so i switch on it.after app. 2 minutes it says finish charge and no response.i can not charge it.i tried it with a new nokia battery but the result is same.could you help me.is the problem caused by software or?

okanaydin,
Are you charging from a USB port or Mains adapter?
The player should be turned on when connected for charging?
If you can try another USB cord as yours may be faulty.

brother! i had the same problem and i realized that the player should be turned on while charging, at least mine worked so...

i tried both usb and main adapter.and also i always open it while charging.but i can not charge it.when i connect the cable it says finish charge.can it be a software problem?

okanaydin, I doubt this is a firmware related problem, it sounds like there may be a fault with the player. If you can not return it for a replacement you could pehaps get it checked at a mobile phone service centre.
