language changed to Chinese and showing up 2 drives

hello, i have just removed and the re installed my firmware on a 'nano tyrpe' player 4gb.

Since this the language is in chinese and the drive is showing up as
2 drives g and h. any idea what to do.

Hello Steve67,

On my player it works like this. Try it and let me know if you get it!. Go to SYSTEM or SETTINGS and click it. Then the 3rd choice down on the list would be LANGUAGE click that then the 2nd choice down on this list here would be ENGLISH so go ahead and click on it. Now if all is good and you can now read your player in ENGLISH again then do this step to solve your 2 drive problem. Click SYSTEM or SETTINGS and go all the way down in the list and find ONLINE MODE and click on that. Now choose NORMAL ONLY. All done!.

steve67 , another important thing to do is to Format your player.
Currently there are no 4GB nano-clones. Only 2GB is the maximum.
The guide to formatting is Here.
This formatting will also recombine both drives into a single drive.

If the memory size drops too low after the formatting, you might want to consider a refund from your seller, as the maximum you can get is 2GB.

thanks for the info, i have followed your format process. as you rightly said its hacked, i'm luckly i have 1gb, but it not the point. so i'm contacting ebay..to try for a refund.
this was going to be a xmas
present
