My IGB i-Platinum mp4 mp3 fm Pod Player is dead !!

Hi guys, I´m a newbie here, so be patient with me please,, well the thing is my player is dead, it started showing a blue screen with no reason,, now,, it does NOT even show that, it doesn´t even turn on !,, I´m thinking about trying the Dead Player Recovery Guide,, but, hey guys.. Isn´t there any other way to do it ?

were you updating the firmware when this happened?
