Just got the MP4 player and it stopped working. When selecting a mode like music or movie it would just list "format error". I tried the utilities program 3.70 and got it to work again but it does not have the voice record function working. The menu option is present, but when you choose that function the player hangs then shuts off.

I do not have firmware version 9.0.48 to re-load.

Can anyone give advice?

cheetah, Try formating the player in Fat format.
Do not try to load a different firmware this will kill your player and you will have very little chance of recovering it.
