Default 2 GB and 3GB Orbit MP4 Players showing 233MB free

I purchased 2 Orbit players. One was supposed to be 2 gigs the other 3 gigs.
When I checked the memory in the system folder they both showed only 233mb free.
I am assuming I was ripped off.
Or if I reformat them will I be able to find out the true capacity?

If anyone can help me I would appreciate it!

I am so glad to have found this site
I am going to open a paypal account just to donate to you guys

Thanx
Daddyrox

daddyrox, First time I have heard of a 3GB player. "lattesurf" posted an excellent method for checking if your player is hacked here:
http://www.mympxplayer.org/how-to-re...ck-vt2400.html

Before you do that though I wonder if you could do a test for me. I noticed with a hacked player I recently had that when I ran the MP3 Player Disk Tool which is part of MP3 Player Utilities that on the Format tab the hacked capacity is shown but on the Partition Encrypt tab the true chip capacity is shown. Could you confirm that for me before you remove the hack. Thankyou.

If you have been ripped off with a hacked player by a seller submit a report to www.ic3.gov

Default Re: Orbit MP4 Player

tadad1,
Thanks for the info!
When I ran the mp3 Utilites I found that the players were truly only 256MB
So I got ripped of as far as what I was told they were and what the box said
Otherwise I really dig the overall abilities of these little machines.

I am enjoying ripping amv's and playing around with them.
I am going to go get 2 more with bigger capacity
Thanks!
Daddyrox
