Default Some questions/issues regarding my player...

Hey i bought a player from ebay it is white 1.5 lcd 4gb mp4 player looks like a ipod nano this is what is wrong so far

1. i put a lot of music on it and it was cool at first but then when i want to hear a song i have to sit there for 15 minutes to find the song i want to hear so i thought wait ill make a folder named artists and then make folders in there with all my music in folders so i can hit menu then pick the band i want to hear it worked "the folders" but now when i click on one my mp4 player crashes hard it will reboot its self so how do i get this to work

2. there is no shuffle function that also sucks is there a way to get one?

3. i thought maybe a firmware update would fix this so i opened my box and there was a paper in there with a link to here i read some stuff and downloaded the newest firmware you had here i plug in my player and go to setup then firmware update then i go to locate the folder i put the downloaded goods in and the next key wont light up "indacates there is no driver" so what am i doing wroung

4. i went to find out how to change the back ground picture and the loading screen as a flower and britney spears is just not cool to a rocker :cry: i seen you guys have skins and what not i went to download a few of them but i cant seem to get them to work my mp4 player will not see them no matter what i do

alkore, to start these players can only support a maximum 2GB nand flash memory, if your player is reading 4Gb then it has a memory chip hacked to read as larger than it's true size. Have a read of theis post for some info on this.
http://www.mympxplayer.org/hotmale16...nz-vt2786.html
This is possibly why your player is crashing.

"lattesurf" posted a guide to removing the hack and returning your player to it's true size here:
http://www.mympxplayer.org/how-to-re...ck-vt2400.html

Theming your player depends on your firmware, go to the Settings menu on your player and check the firmware version if it is 9.0.48 or higher then at present there are no tools to backup and theme your player.

are you shure it is hacked or what ever the box says 4gig also on the back it says 4gig and also when i plug it in to the computer it says total space 4 gig and i already have the tool to rip my firmware and back it up i already did that but it wont take new ones but if it is a hacked 4 gig i don't see why it would crash as i only have used about 1.4 gig

a 40GB hard drive is only 38gb,

industry standards are

1gb=1000mb

our standards are

1gb = 1024mb

its just the way industry works, you have a 1GB mp4 player, you will never get a 1024mb player.

if you are wanting to buy a realiable one from a good source try

www.uxcell.com
www.houseofdap.com
www.cyberspace-electronics.com

if you are wanting to buy a cheapo hacked one from a crap source try

www.ebay.co.uk
www.ebay.com
www.ebay.au
list goes on...

It`s like an MP3 Player which plays Music CDs only.

yes this is what the paper says at the part of going to this site

to add video

install the mp4 software , then use the conversion tool to convert your vidoe files to amv format , then just copy and paste into mp4 drive just as you would with your music files.if your having trouble with the supplied software , you can download from this site
http://savefile.com/files/php?fid=7607794 also try http://www.mympxplayer.com/dload.php...file&file_id=2

that is what is says so ya kinda funny to sell a hack item then tell you how to take it off if it was not for that being there to take me here i would have been ripped off and not even of known

alkore, this post may interest you,
http://www.mympxplayer.org/anybody-w...nz-vt2365.html
Also 966MB is about right some room is taken up with the partition table and file system and 20-30 MB is used by the firmware so it is a 1GB player.
