Default Unknown flash error!


I try to install firmware upgrade to my mp4 player. It is SC85051C MP3 player in ACT_v3.5.35. It does't work because everytime become error "Unknown flash error!". Can anyone help me?

fiollhoip, What is hapening with your layer at the moment, is it working, does it still connect with Windows?

My layer is working SYS setup in firmware upgrade and it is connect to Windows.

I format player and its memory falls to 106 MB from 4000 MB.

fiollhoip, Do not try to upgrade the firmware you will kill your player and it will not change the memory problem.
The bad news is your player has or had a hacked memory chip. I would guess that it is really only a 128MB chip. When you formatted your player you removed the memory hack that was making the 128MB chip read as 4GB. To confirm the true size of your memory you need to open the player and check the serial number of the memory chip ( the largest chip on the board) with this list of Samsung and Hynix chips.

If you have recently purchased the player I suggest you contact the seller for a full refund.

If you look throught the forums you will see many posts by peole who have bought hacked players.

Thanks for information. Player is bayed from china and I live in finland. So I can't contact the seller. I have 2 other same kind of player. Can I copy from other player chip memory?

fiollhoip, There is no way to reproduce the hack once it is removed from the chip. The hack will cause you all sorts of problems like file corruption, player restarts and crashes. These are possibly some of the reasons you formatted your player in the first place.
