Re: My new player

i tried to do that
4. By doing step #3 above, open up Windows Explorer and go to here: C:\Program Files\MP3 Player Utilities 3.57\AMVTools (or where you installed your AMV Convert Tool) and now you will see a file called "transformsetup.ini".

5. Open the transformsetup.ini file using Notepad.

but first of all i dont have that file iin directory and other i cant press settings button its not like highlighted and i cant do anything

Help please somebody

You should get AMV software version 4.05 (mp3 player utilities), from the download section on this site. You can choose more sizes to convert to, and experiment. Larger screen video's need more processor power, playback might suffer (stuttering video). Uninstall old version before installing the new one.

dmsee, Your player appears to have a 1.5 inch screen so MP3 Player Utilities 3.68 is still the best version for this screen size. For full screen select 128x128 for wide screen 128x96.
http://www.mympxplayer.org/amv-conve...-mb-df327.html
For the settings button to become active you need to load a file for conversion and then click or double click on it in the file list at the bottom.

A word of warning regarding the link you left to eBay. If this is the player you bought then i strongly suggest you check to see if your player has a hacked memory chip, it may not be a true 2GB. The seller blown-z is known for selling hacked players and has been posted in the Black List:
http://www.mympxplayer.org/anybody-w...nz-vt2365.html

You can check if your player is a true 2GB with MP3 Player Disk Tool which is part of MP3 Player Utilities.

And "lattesurf" has posted an excellent guide on removing memory hacks here:

Re: My new player

Well you guys were right
I have now only 487MB
What should i do
IS there any way i can put the memory it had before?

Que 20th Dec 2006 11:11 am

You can not put the memory back, because it was never there. Blown-z is fooling people, but is getting away these days because of the way he advertises.
He writes 2 Gb, which actually means 2 gigabit. divided by 8 (8 bits in a byte) leaves 128 MB (megabytes) He will say you are better off, coz you got 512 MB (minus space for the software).
You were fooled by the 2 GB versus 2Gb writing, a sick way of making money, but he is a sick person.
Before he made his feedback private, he advertised with GB, and people got a refund, whole or partially. Never buy from people that have a lot of bad, or private, feedback.

Hello there!
I'm planning on getting this MP4 player this weekend, http://www.factorydirect.ca/catalog/...p?pcode=MP4002
Please tell me if its worth buying it ! :) Thx for ur time!

PS- Does the clickwheel works on these MP players? or is it just there to make it look pretty!

tadad1 20th Dec 2006 11:19 pm

N3o, Have not heard any feedback on the company so do not know it's reputation. The picture looks bogus to me, more like a photoshop mockup than a true photo so I would be suprised if the player actually looks like that. I certainly have never seen one like it. The click wheel does not work it is a fiveway button press setup. Finally if this is the detailed specifications"2GB MP3/MP4 VIDEO PLAYER COLOUR LCD " the abbreviated must be a fullstop. Me personally I would not buy from there.

Yes you are right tadad1, the website doesn't have any details about the MP4 player.
I think it'll be better if I go to their store, and then check it out! BTW is there anyway of finding out if the mp4 player really has 2GB just by looking at it?

tadad1 21st Dec 2006 12:07 am

N3o. sadly no you need to open it and actually check the chip number or connect it to a PC to test.
