4gb with 9.0.48
 

i just got my 4gb tonight.. its really 2gb.. as i filled it until it corrupted which was at 2 gb.. so now i have several corrupted files and need to know some easy answers.. the first is... does formating affect operating system at all..? do i have to do anything special to format first?

i dont think you need to do anything special before formatting for the first time.

formatting does not affect the operating system at all.

what it does it delete any files which you have stored in the player and also reveal the real memory size of your player :)

thats what i think.

you can wait for other experienced people to reply if you want :D

n2sins, deepakar is spot, on formatting will not delete your firmware. Removing the memory hack can be a problem though but "lattesurf" has posted a great guide to do this here:
