Player recognised as USB device

I´ve got a new player cause my older one was hacked, this new one seems to be ok, but once I plugged it to the pc the windows recognised it as an "USB device" and I can´t see the data on the player, also it seems that there´s a problem with the USB device controller (control panel, add hardware, and the ugly yellow and black icon)
what´s wrong?
I´ll try it on a different computer tomorrow
this kind of things really change my mood, I want to enjoy my player one and for all! but it seems to be coursed!

You might have the wrong driver installed for the usb hub in the computer. Is there a failure mentioned under hardware manager-device-driver or resources?
You may succeed by removing everything usb from device manager, restart the computer, and let it reinstall. If this doesn't help, and hardware manager says driver issues, update the driver through there and choose some standard one, or maybe use the cd that came with the motherboard to load a driver off that, by clicking "have disk" and browse to the cd driver folder or something similar.
