Card Error - HELP!!
 

i hav a MP4 that its something like this

and with sd/mmc card adaptor... i plugged in my 512mb MMC card from my nokia 6230 and it worked just perfect... then i ordered a 2gb SD card from Mercado livre (a brazilian ebay) and when i plug him in he always give me "Card Error" and some chinese letters... the card is working perfectly... why could it be not working...?

ill post some pictures of the actual player later on...

PLZ HELP!! the 2gb sd here isnt that cheap =X

some players state they only support 1Gig cards, have no idea why though. where you get it from?

xithrix , as what broose had mentioned, your player might only support 1GB of SD memory, hence the error.
Also try formatting the SD memory to fat16.

i don't hav a SD card reader right now ill test the fat16 later otherwise ill trade it with a 1gb =/

one more thing... can u guys tell where/if i can get the firmware update for this one... i read somewhere (here i think) that u need to open to know wich firmware to get... but im kinda scare to open him... =X

xithrix, I would not try updating the firmware as it will most likely kill your player and recovery may be impossible.

I ai cara blz ?.. ou eu tenho o mesmo mp4 que o seu, mais o meu é vermelho naum é laranja o detalhe... cara eu comprei ele principalmente pq tinha entrada pra cartao... putz ainda naum tentei colocar um cartao nele to juntando dinheiro pra comprar um cartao de 2gb... no meu parece que da pra colocar ate de 4 gb... vei vou ate ohar aki... vc fez alguma atualização de firmware ? Coloca uma foto da caixa dele atras e na frente pra eu ver se o seu é o mesmo que eu poço tentar te ajudar...

eu fiz nenhuma atualizacao naum to com medo d faze...

onde q vc comprou o seu? o meu comprei em camboriu... 270 conto... axei moh pexinxa.. a mema coisa no ml soh q com tela d 1.8" tava 260 Oo

xD nem reparei q parece laranja ali nas fotos... eh q tirei d noite entum tive q tira com flash mas eh vermelho tb sim...

v c ai na tua cidade tem algum lugar q eles t deixem testar o cartao na hora... eu axo q o mmc chega ate 1 gb e funca...

i just got an SD card reader and formatted to FAT32 and FAT through windows and got the same card error as always :/

just one more thing... first after i put the card it gives "Card error!" and some chinese letters on the background
then it shows no JPG files (cuz there aren't any in the mp4 internal memory)
and finaly it shows CARD EMPTY!!

just thought this could help somehow...

My Rockchip has problems writing a lot of files to miniSD cards. I bought some 1GB 80x cards and if I try to write heaps of files, it crashes and disconnects from the PC. I rushed out and bought a card reader and it works fine!
