Hello. I just received my MP4 in the mail and was wondering what all the stuff everyone talks about.

Whats 'firmware'? How do i find a version that will go w/ my player?
whats the difference betwen mods/themes/firmware?

Nano_Clone, Your player firmware is like it's operating system, like Windows is to your PC.

You can firn out your firmware version by going to the players settings menu and selecting Firmware Version.

I would strongly recommend that you not try loading any other firmware to your player as the chances of killing your player are very high.

Modding and theming depends on your player type and firmware version. Let us know what version details are shown on the player and I will tell you if theming is an option for your player.

It's a 1GB MP4 player from China which I believe has a Samsung chip. The firmware version states:
