Can I upgrade a better Firmware on my 2GB MP3/MP4 Player
 

hey guys, I wanted to ask you some questions. my english is not very good, so please be patient :)

well.. this is my mp4 player:

I bought it on ebay and I think the firmware on it is very bad. (one example: the german language is translated like they worked with google translating tools... somehow funny, and the design of the menu is a little bit unclearly)

Now... my question is: Can I upgrade a better Firmware on it? Or what can I improve at the software?

you cannot upgrade your firmware to a better version but i think your two problems can be solved.

i am not sure about the language problem. maybe someone else will be able to help you out with it.

as far as the menu items are concerned, you could try changing the theme of your player by following this guide

Stan , what deepakrr had said about the theming was right. But always ensure you use your own firmware for theming.

To edit the text languages, you can use the S1res Tool. The guide is Here.
But for text editting, it is step 12 onwards.
You will need to locate the line that is German and change it to something you prefer. However, you can only change it to the same or lesser number of characters. Not longer than the original.
