Player won't initialize

Just got a new mp3/mp4 player for Christmas--music has been added to it, but when I go to play it, an initialize screen comes up and then it goes back to the menu screen. It will do that everytime I press "music." It won't play anything at all.

Help please!
Thanks!

Re: Player won't initialize

ksucatfan , try extracting, repairing and re-flashing your original firmware back into your player.
Extraction & repairing guide Here.
Flashing guide Here.
See if the problem still occurs.

ksucatfan,

You may also want to FORMAT your player.
This will help solve problems with bad sectors on the internal memory of your MP3 player.

Good luck.

Thank you all so much for your help. I formatted it and that seemed to help, but now it won't go past song 99. However, I looked it up and guess who I bought it from on your bad seller list? blown-z on ebay, so I am going to see if it is hacked player and then contact him or her.

Anyhow, thanks so much for your help and I am so glad you have this site!

ksucatfan , these players have a limit of 99 files per folder. So if you have more than 99 songs, you'll need to sort them out into other folder.

After the format, is the memory size still the same as before? If it is lesser, then the player is hacked.
