Default IPod Clone not charging - Now battery is dead!

Hi,
I bought this IPod Clone on EBay for my Son as part of his Christmas Present but it does not seem to charge? It charged up initially (yesterday morning) and I also put a few mp3 on it for my son and it played for a few hours but now it does not charge and it does not get recognized when I connect the USB into the computer? What can be wrong? I was thinking it might be something to do with the USB cable (since it does not get recognized as a drive in my computer)? I have tried it on 2 different computers and it does not charge with the plug either. For a while, it was switching on (but shutdown after a few seconds with a low battery) but now I think the battery is completely dead as it does not switch on anymore. Have you seen this problem before? If so what is the solution. If not what can I do?

Thanks

Jerome

jeromeof , ensure the on/off switch on the top is set to the on position.

Try plugging in your player to the computer and leave it "charging" for a few minutes and see if there are any signs of life.

Also, are you using a USB hub? If you are, disconnect the USB hub and connect the player directly to the computer's USB port.

If all these fails, likely your battery might be totally dead. i'll suggest you contact your seller for an exchange or refund.

Why are clones called MP4 Players, when they don`t play .MP4 at all?
It`s like an MP3 Player which plays Music CDs only.
