random access to long video files
 
hi gys just received my mp4 4 gb player....its a decent player for what it costed me 20 $ ....just one thing though when i copy full lenght movies i find irritating that i can not access to the middle of the file buy it always start from the beginning every time ....is there some hack to allow for random access to video files ????

geo999, you could try Tadad1's guide to better AMV's using Virtual Dub, where you can save your .AVI file as segmented files so you don't have to start from the beginning again.

There is currently no fast forward mechanism I know of. Hope that helps.

when you pause a video and then turn on your player and play that video again, it will play from the last scene you saw.

other than that, i dont think there are any more methods
