Default pls help me about memory upgrade


these are the pics of my player chip can any one of u tell me what chip i should add to it where to buy it and etc stuff to increse my memory to 1gb pls help by the way iam from india thanks in advance
memory chip is Hynix HY27UFO81G2M (1GigaBit) = 128MB
where can i find parts to change my player external look

Sounds to me if you want a different memory size, and want to change the outside look, you might as well just buy a different player.
That would solve both issues in a simple manner.

no need for outlook just the memory size should be great i cannot buy another one cause i cannot afford it and also i gota save money again so that is not an option for me

sree0987 , you'll need to check the datasheet for your particular chip that you have now. And compare this with the new chip that you want, ensuring that the pins/specifications are the same.

i'm not very sure where you can buy such chips online. But farnell.com and rs-components.com should stock all these chips.

if i wana by local shops which type of shop am i suppose to look for eletronics where they repair tv's etc or some where else

sree where do you live in india?

in india, these kinda stuff will be available from black market electronic shops (palika bazaar in delhi, burma bazaar in south etc) only and from a couple of small computer shops.

forget about getting them from well know computer shops or any other shop.

sree0987 , as what deepakrr had suggested. i don't know where to buy such items in India, but i'll recommend caution especially when purchasing flash memories. Just in case the chips are hacked, as such things are so common nowadays.

by just looking at the part number youll know the size of the chip but anyway you need an SMD surface mount rework sation..
