Default [solved] "USB Device not recognised"

I have two iPod nano clone MP4 players bought off of eBay, they both work fine on one PC but on the other PC only one of them works....the one that does not work gives the error message "USB Device not recognised: one of the usb dvices attached to this computer has malfunctioned, windows does not recognize it."
I am using the same USB cable on both devices and for both PC's
Both PC's are running Windows XP sp2
Any ideas?
