caLVin, The Disk Tool is not going to work if it does not detect the device.
Does the player show up in Explorer when connected?
Are you having any other problems with the player?

caLVin , what chipset is your player running off? If it isin't the Actions ATJ series, the Disk Tool would not be able to detect and format it successfully.

However, you can try the HP Format Tool, and it should be able to format almost all usb flash drives. http://www.mympxplayer.org/format-ut...-mb-df127.html

It`s like an MP3 Player which plays Music CDs only.
