baddog2003 , i would suggest a format on your player. It probably might clear the virus (i'm not sure as i've not experienced it before), and as well verify your player's real memory capacity. The guide is here http://www.mympxplayer.org/how-to-re...ck-vt2400.html

And most importantly! DO NOT update or upgrade with another person's firmware! It will only kill your player. Have a search in the forum for dead players and you'll understand.

If you want to change the outlook of your player, you could just reskin your player. Always use your own extracted firmware for any reskin purposes. The full guide is here http://www.mympxplayer.org/how-to-mo...ng-vt1719.html

Have a search in the downloads section and there are many 1.5" themes that you can use.

It`s like an MP3 Player which plays Music CDs only.

baddog2003, If you go into your players settings menu there should be an entry "Firmware Version" which will give you the info.
There can be 100's of variations though so for instance if your player is using a 3.5.37 version firmware it will not be compatible with all 3.5.37 firmware so you still run a high risk of killing your player even by sticking to the same version.
