Mp4 player only suport 300 files
 

Hi,people

I have a problem and need your help. My Mp3/Mp4 player (Aviz 1g-Unimind-Version: SDK2.611) only support 300 files of music or voice in totality.If I put another music or voice file it will automatically delete a file because can´t have more then 300 files.
I checked and have a lot of space in mp3 player to put more music files.

These players can only handle so many files in the root directory. You need to make folders for your files so you can put more on it.

yes. like PleXo and lddrizzt1 said, each folder supports only 99 files, so try creating new folders to store your other songs and store only 99 songs per folder.

another problem maybe that your player might be hacked to show more memory than it can actually handle.

People,

I have tried two different ways:

1- I put more then 300 single files in the root directory and the mp3 player only shows 300 files

2- I put more then 300 files in various folders (maybe 50 folders) and the mp3 player also shows 300 files.

But, in the computer every files are in the mp3 player. It's not hacked because in another time i occupied the 951mb (storage capacity) with things (music, movies,etc.).
So anybody can tell me what it´s the problem

Aiu , being able to copy 951MB of files does not mean that your player is a legit 1GB. Have you tried playing all the 951MB of files you copied?

lattesurf, it can play all the 951MB of files but how I mencioned before it can only support totally 300 files.It doesn´t matter if these 300 files occups 100 or 900 mb

Aiu, I have heard of this kind of limitation before, it is set in the firmware so there is no way to easily remove it.
The only way I know to get rid of it is with a change of firmware however this is very risky as you could easily kill your player by loading an incorrect firmware.

Do you know if the firmware of my mp3/mp4 player (Aviz 1G-Unimind-Version:2.611)can be upgraded?Because in the cd that came with the mp3 player don't have the upgrade tools and should have

Aiu, I am not familiar with the player and can only find one reference to it on the web.
Firmware upgrade depends on the chipset type, if it is a Sigmatel based player then it will not use the standard upgrade tool as the firmware will come with it's own install program.
Is there any information in the settings menu of your player about firmware version?

tadad1, I think is a Sigmatel based player because supports sigmatel videos and in the settings menu only said that the version is 2.611

Aiu, Not much available for sigmatel players, there is a backup tool in the Downloads>Tools section but I do not know if it works.
