Re: Does anyone have RockChip player firmware?

Hi, I have version 00.00.0032 date: 2006-09-12. I really hope someone can make an extractor for it - the themes are really bad, especially the start up and shut down!

I'm going to try to see if I can get an extraction firmware program to work on it - if I have any luck i'll post up my firmware.

as far a i know there is still no extraction utility for rockchip based machines.

the tools on this site for extraction are for actions based players and will not work

if you want firmwares, go to the downloads section and select Rockchip firmwares

there are also some tools in the tools section in the dowload area

rockchip tools are:
RKlogoEdit (edit the firmware images - difficult to use and also requires an LST file details images and sizes, there are many on this site provided by member Knob

you really need to have the original firmware that came on a disc with your player or even from the place where you bought the player

as ever firmware upgrading is NOT advisable as even the slightest difference in firmware and hardware and you will have a dead player

do a search on this site for Rockchip, there is quite alot of info coming through now

i agree on the interface to these players, they are seriously ugly but if you want a rockchip based player with official firmware updates then try a Teclast and head on over to www.teclasters.com for support

once again - upgrade with care and be prepared for failure!!!
