hellbound, You have a hacked player. This means it has a memory chip that has been programmed top read larger than it's true size. Your 8GB player could have a memory chip as small as 128MB.
You need to remove the hack to fix the problem. Here are some posts that will help: http://www.mympxplayer.org/feedback-...rs-vt2828.html http://www.mympxplayer.org/how-to-re...ck-vt2400.html You will also find heaps of other posts relating to hacked layers within the forum. |
Re: 8 gig nano look a like not playing any amv files. help p
i've had over 3 gigs of music on it, i dont think thats the problem, i just cant get it to play any movies, i've formated it 2 times and it always says 8 gig, so i beleave its 8 gigs. i just want it to play movies again

hellbound, Suit yourself but these players only support a maximum 2GB Nand Flash Memory. The reason you AMV files are not playing is because they are being written to memory that does not really exist.

Re: 8 gig nano look a like not playing any amv files. help p
my god this sux, first off your 100% correct  i have had this for only about a week i bought it off of a cite called craigslist. when i got it i loaded about 3 gigs of music on it and i noticed every time i would go past song 88 it would shut off, so i went through deleteing songs cus i thought it was a messed up song not formated correctly or somthing like that. then i just formated it because of the problem in my first post, and it always said 8 gig, now i just clicked on that stuff you put in your post to me and it turns out i paid 120$ for a 512 meg shitty mp3 player that still wont play any videos and now all the stuff on it is in japanese. i guess i would like to say thanks for pointing this out to me, and now how do i get it to play movies and back to english :(

Hellbound, if I was you, I would go back where you got if from, and DEMAND a full refund.
Is "Craigslist" an eBay user or a Website? $120 for 512MB is way out of fairness, 512MB in England costs about £19.99 (Mid Range Price) thats about $25 - $35. |
Re: 8 gig nano look a like not playing any amv files. help
i pretty much get bent over on this one, craigslist is a local ebay type for people who dont have credit cards and love getting ripped off. its just like ebay but you deal with people in your area. and i bought it off of some guy . so i cant take it back and i cant sell it for any thing close to what i paid. so i just have to be carefull going about stuff like this, i've used craigslist a lot and for a long time and this is the first time i've been ripped off. i guess when you buy from cites like this that only deal with local people your bound to get burnt eventually. none the less i would at the very least like it to work, and get it back to english. so if some one could tell me how to get it to play videos and how to get it back to english i would very much apperciate it. thanks

hellbound, Once you remove the hack and return your player to it's true memory size you should not have any problems.
"lattesurfs" guide is the best way to do this. http://www.mympxplayer.org/how-to-re...ck-vt2400.html |
hellbound, its true that hacked player shows a lot of problems. But if you are careful, and prepared to get annoyed you can use the full HACKED 8GB.
I have a hacked 2GB player with 512MB flash memory. Its hell a lot annoying to keep 2GB songs on this player and make all of them play as most of the time player would restart. Even when you will copy back files from player to hard drive, they wont work, so not a good pen drive too. In order to get the best out of your 8GB you need to keep a check on what data you are pushing on your player, and is it getting copied properly. For playing videos, check on with MP3 Player Utilities 3.68, with small screen size, (128x96). I hope then you must be able to play AVM files. And yeah, don't get ripped off... Think before you buy. regards Ayush |

Next time, check the guides on eBay before you buy! Had you read my guide, you'd have seen I mention that you can get ripped off buying Nano clones on Craigslist, or even supposedly genuine iPod Nano's. Getting an 8GB Nano clone is like being ripped off twice! |
