Format Error

I resently puchased a 1.8" 2GB mp4 player off evilbay. It plays some of the amv files with out any problems at all while others I get a message saying "format error". It also has a similar problem playing audio files; It plays a few songs fine but the it resets when it trys to play another. Does anyone have any idea what so ever as to what may be causing this, and more importantly, how I can fix it?

Generally players which show "format error" messages are hacked players.

Try formatting your player and see how it goes.
