computer do not detect player but it is charging through USB
i have a question, when i plugged my player into the usb port of my computer, the computer doesnt read the device. in fact, nothng happens
the funny thing is while it is plugged, the battery is charging. i thought at first that theres a defect in the usb cable or port but the fact that it is charging proves that the problem doesnt lie on the cable or port. how is this possible? how can i make the computer read the device? thanx |
NoInOi, My understanding is that there are 5 lines in the USB cable 2 for power and the rest for data transfer. You may have a break or bad connection in one of the data lines.

i feel the same too. a change of usb cable should do it for you.

Tried different usb-ports? Another computer?

Re: computer do not detect player but it is charging through
In your ofc computers do they have virtual disks?
maybe your device IS detected but is hidden behind the usual virtual disk that uses your office. double click in the virtual disk and see what shows ;) |

Re: computer do not detect player but it is charging through
I had the sam eproblem, i have 2 virtual drives on. When I clicked manage on my computer, it displayed 2 drives fro this mp3 player. A 1.79gb drive an da 1mb drive. I have to manually assign them drive letters every time I plug it in, but on any other pc its fine.
