Help my MP4 Player cant load/read all my songs.
Could anyone help me... I bought an 1GB mp4 player, my mp4 player cant read all the songs I put on it, it can only load a max of 179 songs. I'm sure that all of my songs are of the same format and bitrate. I'm also sure that is a true 1GB player.
Example if I put 300 mp3's, it can only load a max of 179 songs. If I browse the MP4 player using my PC... (Mp4 player is connected to PC by the usb cable and recognized as a removable hard drive) All 300 songs are there. All 300 songs are playable via a music software ie. Windows Media Player 10, and the 121 songs that are not read/loaded by the player are there and are playable by windows media player 10. What do you think guys? |
zephyr08 , are you storing more than 99 files per folder? These players have a maximum limit of 99 files per folder. Anything more than that, the player would not play them.
Try creating additional folders to store the remaining files. |

How about I'll post pictures of my mp4 player then you can tell me what firmware it runs on. Of Course I'll extract the original firmware for safety purposes. Im planning to change the firmware of my mp4 player. zephyr08 , what format are the remaining 121 music files? These players usually play only .mp3 .wav and some plays .ogg and .wma

i suggest you to format it once. http://www.mympxplayer.org/how-to-re...ck-vt2400.html |
@lattesurf
all songs are in the same format, all mp3's and w/ a bitrate of 112kbps. All folder have <99 songs : ) @deepakrr I wanna format it, but the MP3 player utilities cant recognize my MP4 player. T-T BTW, my mp4 player's chipset is made by SigmaTEL. I'll post more info bout my player, when I get it from my lil' sister so you good folks at mympxplayer could help me out. She's using it 24/7 and is completely satisfied, but for me, as a perfectionist and a song junkie 179 songs isn't enough. Hahahaha |
zephyr08 , the MP3 Utilities are unable to work with Sigmatel chipsets, only Actions.
For formatting, try the HP Format Tool here instead http://www.mympxplayer.org/hp-format-tool-df466.html I don't have a Sigmatel player, so i'm really stumped on the problem you are facing now. |
